When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with and use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

To cancel your appointment:

Home Visits

Visits are made according to medical need.

Please try to make the request before 10:30 so that the doctors can plan their rounds.

If you are very unwell, call as soon as possible – the doctor may ring you soon afterwards.

If at all possible we ask patients to come to the surgery to be seen; you will be seen more quickly and we will have all the equipment we need, help from the nurses and immediate access to the dispensary.

We care for patients in an area of c.150 square miles. In the time taken to visit one patient at home it is possible to see a number of patients in the surgery.

We can only visit patients within the practice catchment area.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs
