We are a rural dispensing surgery providing care for around 2,400 patients in Hindon and the surrounding villages.
The surgery is responsible for your medical care between 08:00 and 18:30, Monday to Friday. The surgery closes at 12 noon on a Tuesday. If you need a see a GP in the afternoon, call the surgery number and your call with be redirected to Fovant surgery.
Contacting the Surgery
You can contact the surgery in person at reception, or by letter, telephone or through our contact forms on this site. You can also book appointments and make prescription requests online by visiting our Consulting Room. Outside these hours, emergencies are covered by Medvivo who can be contacted by calling 111 (Calls to the surgery number will also be re-directed to the emergency care service outside of normal surgery hours).
Our team consists of four GPs, two nurses, an administrator, four receptionists and dispensers, a phlebotomist and a cleaner. We work closely with our community nursing team and COPD matron, care coordinator, community psychiatric nurses, palliative care team, midwives, health visitors, physiotherapists, primary care psychological service (IAPT) and local GP surgeries. Some of these teams run clinics in the surgery.
We have good links with the local hospitals in Salisbury.
